Trips and Events
Here are trips and events that I would like to share with you.
Jenner, California
We drove out to the coast to the town of Jenner where the Russian River empties into the Pacific Ocean and then a few miles along Highway 1 or Coast Highway. There are a number of scenic overlooks from which you can see seals sunning themselves on the beach and you can watch the Pelicans, Sea Gulls and Turkey Buzzards fly by. 5-27-2024
Lake Tahoe, Nevada
Just four hours from the Bay Area is Lake Tahoe. The drive to up the Sierra Mountains and to Incline Village at Lake Tahoe was easy. Around Colfax you start climbing up into the mountains and the mountain views are gorgeous. 5-28-2024
Sugar Pine Point
We drove around the entire lake and stopped at Sugar Pine Point and the Pine Lodge. This was a beautiful spot on the lake. 5-30-2024
Sunnyside Restaurant and Lodge
All that sightseeing was thirsty work, so we stopped at the Sunnyside Restaurant and Lodge for a cold drink and to take in the view from their perfect spot on the lake. 5-30-2024
Brunch with Family
We met up with Michela and family for Brunch at the Beach Chalet at Ocean Beach, San Francisco. Afterwards we went over to the De Young Museum and up to the observation tower to see the views of the city. 6-2-2024
Seattle and Suncadia
Flying from Santa Rosa to Seattle was quick and easy. From there we drove east to the Suncadia Resort on the Cle Elum River. We were there to see Jacob be commissioned into the Air Force as a Second Lieutenant at his alma mater, Central Washington University in Ellensburg. 6-5-2024
Anne's Surprise
We had a family dinner the night before the commissioning and Jacob did not know that Anne was coming for the event. Everyone got to the restaurant early so that I could take some photos and then just as we were finishing up with the photos, Anne walks in and totally surprised Jacob and his mother Cora.
Family Photos
The family got together for photos before dinner at the Stovehouse Restaurant.
Jacob's Commissioning
Jacob was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the United States Airforce. 6-7-2024
Farewell for now.
